More consistency needed

IMG_1512 VO2 max measures how effectively your body uses oxygen during intense exercise. It’s expressed in milliliters of oxygen per kilogram of body weight per minute (ml/kg/min) and is one of the strongest predictors of long-term health and longevity—often ranking ahead of traditional risk factors like blood pressure or cholesterol. Values decline with age (roughly 5–10% per decade in active people, steeper if sedentary), so the same number means very different things at 30 versus 54. Always compare against age- and sex-matched norms rather than a single “good” score.
